Figure Skate Services

Figure Skate Services

Clean edges. Confident turns. Consistent results — from your first lesson to your next test.

Toe-pick safe sharpening
Friendly guidance for parents
Consistent, repeatable edges

Figure skates aren’t hockey skates — and we treat them that way.

Figure skate blades require a different approach: toe picks, rocker profiles, and clean edges that stay consistent. Whether you’re brand-new or working on jumps and spins, we’ll get your blades dialed in and help you understand what you’ll feel on the ice.

Quick heads-up: If we spot damage (loose mounting, stripped holes, boot separation, heavy rust), we’ll tell you before we do the work.

FAQ

How often should figure skates be sharpened?

It depends on ice time, weight, and how aggressive you skate. If you tell me how often you skate and what you’re feeling (slipping, catching, “dead” edges), I’ll help you time it.

Do you sharpen toe picks?

No — toe picks shouldn’t be “sharpened” like edges. We protect them while sharpening so you keep control without changing how your picks behave.

Can you fix rust on blades?

Light rust can often be cleaned up. Heavy rust or pitting may reduce performance. Bring them by and I’ll give you the straight answer.

Do I need mounting if I buy new blades?

Yes — blades need proper mounting and alignment. Even a small alignment issue can totally change how a skate feels.

I’m a parent and I don’t know what any of this means — can you help?

Absolutely. That’s part of what you’re paying for. We’ll keep it simple and make sure your skater is safe and confident.

Ready for cleaner edges and better control?

Book your figure skate service or text a photo of your blades and we’ll point you in the right direction.
